Announcing the release of Three Winds for oboe, clarinet and French horn as performed by Phil Rashkin (oboe), Tony Park (clarinet) and Casey Cronan (horn).
Three Winds explores the sound-worlds of oboe, clarinet and french horn through a number of phases and variations. The piece was influenced by the Javanese musical-temporal concept of irama, which can be loosely defined as the density of rhythmic subdivision and elaboration in relation to an underlying melody.
Recorded live at Panoply Performance Laboratory in Brooklyn, NY on September 23, 2015.
